Swan Series
Swan Series, 2022, by Sophia Wallace is an open edition of cast sculptures in stoneware and terra cotta which takes inspiration from the graceful movements of swans. It is an interpretation of the unrecognized anatomy of the clitoris that draws upon budding orchids and ripe succulents. This series is the work latest in Sophia Wallace's ongoing project to intervene in the weaponization of gender and genitals against people with a clitoris. The works can be mounted on a table top or a floating shelf and secured with museum wax or museum puddy.
